Sleepwalking
Clock goes off - it’s six AM, time to do it all over again.
Drag your feet to the bathroom, look in the mirror...
And all you can say, is that it’s time to do it again.
Wake up.
Wake up.
Wait, you’re already up.
But how did you get, so stuck.
The days and hours bleed into each other.
Dreams, lost along the way.
The ones you thought would stay, now strangers.
You long for a simpler time.
A time to be free.
What happened to the laughter that made you feel so young?
What happened to the passion that made you feel alive?
What happened to the hunger that made you strive?
When did you start sleepwalking through your life?
It becomes about survival and making it to tomorrow.
You blindly follow the path, promises and lies of others.
Until - you finally realize you are not awake at all.
But through the pain, heartache, and sorrow you start to see the truth.
The stillness has set you free. You let go.
And you have found another way…a way back to you.
Wake up, wake up, it’s time to Wake Up.
